ROUGE ABSOLU

Absolute Red

Lab'art Gallery - 2005

cut-out silhouettes covered with absolute red pigments

Rouge Absolu was created in 2004 in Athens where I had been living for 4 years. With the minimalist style of the cut-out silhouettes, covered with red pigments, I am seeking the interpretation of an intimate biography of beings.

Illuminated by wall lights, the silhouettes inhabit the spaces they occupy. In the form of mobiles, they sway lightly. Their shadows play with space and reflect memories imprinted on our bodies.

Rouge Absolu symbolizes the life force of human beings: hypnotic, insolent and powerful.
